This Privacy Policy is designed to assist you understand the information we process to support Changemaker Library offered by Ashoka Korea (“we”, or “us”). We take reasonable measures to ensure that your data is protected. You will not need to consent to this Privacy Policy but do acknowledge you have read and understood its terms.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our website or application (“Site”), or providing you with a notification). Your continued use of our Site after changes in this Privacy Policy will mean that you accept such changes except as otherwise required by applicable law.
Collection of Information
Our Site’s web servers collect standard internet log information during your visit to our Site. This information is used to assist with troubleshooting issues with our Site including performance and security related functions. For certain password protected sections of our Site, we count the number of Application Programing Interface calls related to a logged in user for the purpose of highlighting the most active users within our Site.
(1) Google Analytics
In addition to server logs, our Site also uses the Google Analytics service to help us assess how our users access and utilize our Site by collecting bits of information such as statistical usage and telemetry information including an anonymized version of your IP address. This information is used to create aggregate statistics about the operation and use of our Site such as when our Site is accessed, the pages which refer visitors to our Site, and other information that helps us understand how our Site is used and how it might be improved in the future.

Like many services, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to track user interactions as in our case, where they are used to collect information about how users use our Site. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our Site. The reports disclose website trends without identifying individual visitors. (2) Hotjar
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our services (“Services”) and your experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (for example, how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like) and this enables us to build and maintain our Services with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our Site). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. (3) Others
In addition, we collect information you provide directly to us. The types of personal information we may collect as required fields include your name, email address, password, age (to determine whether you are over the age of 16), country of residence and preferred language, and as optional fields include your content including profile image, posts, comments, responses and any other information you choose to provide.

We share your personal information with Open College Co., Ltd., a company that develops, operates and manages our Site.

We operate Changemaker Library globally, and your personal information will be transferred to service providers located in jurisdictions other than your residence jurisdiction, for the purpose of providing our Services you request. We share your personal information with our service providers so that they can perform services on our behalf. We require our service providers to take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized use, access, or modification.

For users in the EU, we would like to inform you that in order to provide you with our Services, your personal information may inevitably be transferred to a server in Korea (out of the European Economic Area), that does not have adequacy decision and appropriate safeguards. However, we will protect your personal information with all possible protective measures during the transfer and use of it.
Storage of Information
We will retain your information as follows:
technical data (e.g., IP address, device information) incidentally collected when you visit our Site will be retained for 90 days.
directory data will be kept indefinitely.
If you sign up for communications from us, we will keep your personal information until you cancel your account after which we will retain only that information that will enable us to respect your cancellation.

We retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, unless applicable law requires storage for a longer period of time. At the end of the retention periods we destroy your personal information in an irrecoverable form.

However, your personal information will be retained for longer if required by law or a court order and/or as needed to defend or pursue legal claims.

Children Under the Age of 16
Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under the age of 16, you may use our Services only with the consent of your parent or guardian.

A parent or guardian of a child under the age of 16 may review and request deletion of the child’s personal information.
